    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as fire prevention and firefighting, traffic control, guarding and patrolling physical property, orienting and monitoring of personnel involved with classified information, and investigation of accidents and criminal acts.
    • Reviews and/or produces reports on all investigations.
    • Confers with representatives of management to formulate policies, determine need for programs, and coordinate programs with casino activities.
    • Manages activities of workers involved in safety programs and Risk Management
    • Reviews or produces schedule for Guest Safety department.
    • Maintains all keys for the facility.
    • Directly oversees all aspects involving the Guest Safety Department.
    • Supervises Risk Management.
    • Oversee operations of the Fire Marshall.
    • Oversee all operations of the Emergency Medical Technicians and the First Aid station.
    • Oversees the execution of the Responsible Gaming Program.
    • Must be able to deal with a wide variety of people and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Other duties may be assigned.




    Certificates and/or Licenses:

    Documents that establish both identity and employment eligibility.

    Must qualify for the Maryland Gaming Board license.

    Must have clean/valid driver's license.


    To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:

    • Directly supervises approximately 40 Cast Members in the Guest Safety Department. Is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the casino's policies, procedures and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Cast Members; planning, budgeting, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Cast Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
    • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
    • Ability to communicate with internal and/or external guests.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret routine business documents.  Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. 
    • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
