Responsibilities

Floorperson:

  • Supervises and monitors the direct operation of assigned Table Games and the conduct of Dealers
  • Enforces Dealer compliance with pit and game procedures
  • Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required
  • Supplies gaming tables with proper and sufficient gaming equipment
  • Completes rating information on casino table players
  • Forwards complimentary requests to the Table Games Floor Supervisor
  • Communicates large buy-ins in compliance with established Pit procedures
  • Monitors high action play at assigned tables
  • Prepares Marker, Table Fill, and Table Credit documents
  • Promotes outstanding customer and employee relations
  • May be required to perform duties outside of normal job description where in the Company’s judgment it is necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or improved customer service

 

Dealer:

  • Conducts all casino table games according to established guidelines and procedures
  • Exchanges paper currency for playing chips or coin money
  • Ensures that wagers are placed before table gaming proceeds, such as cards are dealt, roulette wheel spun, or dice are tossed
  • Accurately maintains the handling of cards, dice, chips, money and other gaming equipment at an appropriate rate to maintain the proper pace of the game
  • Informs players of the rules and regulations as the game progresses
  • Calculates odds to pay winning bets 
  • Collects losing bets and pays winning bets
  • Observes the players around the table in order to recognize playing style 
  • Notifies management and/or security of suspicious behavior
  • Refers guest complaints to supervisor
  • Checks accuracy of table bank inventory, marker, table fill and table credit documents
  • Promotes outstanding customer service
  • May be required to perform duties outside of normal job description where in the Company’s judgment it is necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or improved customer service

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Applicants must successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience
  • Must be fast and accurate in handling cash
  • Six (6) months experience in customer service field preferred
  • Prior poker experience or successful completion of Poker School required
  • Must be able to successfully complete a basic math test, and pass an audition displaying adequate Poker skills
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets
  • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers and guests in fast-paced environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and mobility to move easily around pit area as well as entire property for entire shift
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues with excellent peripheral vision
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
